MAKING EMMANUEL ACCESSIBLE
The Emmanuel Accessibility Project plan is both practical and comprehensive. It prioritizes those architectural updates that will have the greatest impact in terms of improving access for all of our building’s users. Critically centering on the installation of an elevator connecting all five levels of the building, it also addresses the provision of accessible restrooms and improved access at the church’s entrances.
It’s more than just opening up physical space. When we make Emmanuel accessible,
We make music and theater performances available to audiences of all ages and abilities;
We make support group meetings accessible to people struggling with addiction;
We make wedding receptions in the Great Hall and the Gallery accessible to all invited guests;
We continue our service to community, civic, and neighborhood organizations; and
We include all of our parishioners and guests in the activities of the Emmanuel congregation.
All People | All Spaces is an important opportunity to make the capital improvements necessary to become the church we aspire to be.
