Agustin Muriago, piano
Join us for a piano recital to showcase piano works by composers from across Latin-America, showcasing styles and dance rhythms from Colombia, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, and Perú, among other countries. Included are works by Mario Ruiz Armengol, Monsita Ferrer, José María Vitier, and Maria de Baratta.
Argentine pianist Agustin Muriago has presented recitals featuring Latin-American music for festivals in Hong Kong, New York City, Washington, D.C., and for the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series in Chicago. He has recorded for Acte Préalable, Radium Recordings, and for NPR affiliates. A Yamaha Artist, Muriago serves as Assistant Professor of Keyboard Studies at the Peabody Institute.
The 6:00 p.m. program is preceded by a complimentary reception, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
We suggest a donation of $10 per ticket for Tuesdays at Six concerts, but welcome a donation of any amount — smaller or greater — depending on one's ability to contribute. A ticket is required of all attendees, and may be obtained prior to the concert or at the door beginning 30 minutes prior to the performance.
