Hui-Chuan Chen, piano
Katlyn DeGraw, cello
Erik Franklin, clarinet
The Ann Street Trio presents a program celebrating the Autumnal Equinox and the arrival of Baltimore’s favorite season. Fall colors abound in Germaine Tailleferre’s Piano Trio, with its cool post-war nostalgia for the Parisian Belle Époque. The program closes with the Clarinet Trioof Johannes Brahms, his melancholic swan song of the late-nineteenth century.
The Ann Street Trio brings together three of Baltimore’s finest musicians: Erik Franklin is a former member of the U.S. Army Field Band, Katlyn DeGraw is the Associate Principal Cellist of the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, and Hui-Chuan Chen is the region’s pre-eminent collaborative pianist.
