Our church home is modeled on a long tradition of being open to all people on their faith journey, borne out through our reasoned theology. However, this openness does not extend to all spaces within Emmanuel’s footprint. Many critical spaces are inaccessible for too many members of our community. Now, after several years of planning and the launch of a successful capital campaign, this spring we are moving forward with the Emmanuel Accessibility Project, designed to remove obstacles that prevent people from participating fully in our congregational life.
Architect Jack Carroll, an associate with Moseley Architects in Baltimore, Emmanuel member since 2012 and former vestry member, will explain the design vision, scope, and plan behind this ambitious effort.
Our program will include architectural drawings and the opportunity to ask questions. Light refreshments provided.
