The next book to be discussed by Emmanuel's Book Club is "The Beautiful Mystery" by Louise Penny. Ms. Penny, a Canadian writer, has published over 10 popular and acclaimed books. Most focus on the work of Quebec detective Amrand Gamache.

In "The Beautiful Mystery" Gamache investigates the murder of the choir master of the Monestery of Saint-Gilbert-Entre-les-Loups in rural Quebec. While the monks have committed to a life of silence, Inspector Gamache finds considerable discord. According to the publisher, "before finding the killer, before restoring peace, the Chief must first consider the divine, the human, and the cracks in between."
