The language that we use to describe the Divine helps to determine how we understand our relationship with God. Once we notice the language that we use, whether during worship or otherwise, we can begin to examine how terms like “Father” shape the way we imagine the Divine. What are some of the names that we commonly use? What are some ways of talking about God from our tradition that are often overlooked? Finally, how might other faiths or movements like expansive language invite us to more fully recognize our Lord and Savior?
