“Emmanuel Corner” in downtown Baltimore consists of the Main Sanctuary (seating for 800), Eccleston Chapel (seating for 60), the Great Hall (flexible seating, maximum 175, small stage), the Undercroft (social & meeting space, flexible seating, maximum 100), and several smaller meeting and social spaces.  While preference is given to Emmanuel, its affiliated groups and organizations, we welcome inquiries from nonprofit organizations and support groups regarding use of our buildings.  All facilities are air conditioned, some renovated as recently as summer 2008.  Our oldest structure dates from 1854; it was added to in the 1920s at which time the adjacent Parish House was also built.

Terry Eagleton on the God Debate

Terry Eagleton's book Reason, Faith, and Revolution: Reflections on the God Debate, offers a devasting critique of recent works by Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens (whom he refers to collectively as "Ditchkins").  It is brilliant, provocative, and very, very funny.  It is based on his 2008 Terry Lectures delivered at Yale.  You can view these lectures on the link below.
