Adult Education
Christian education is a life-long journey; it does not end with Sunday School. In a certain sense, the church does not HAVE an educational program - it IS one. The church is a School of Love -- the love of God and the love of neighbor. Our educational programs at Emmanuel help us to grow in the knowledge and love of God and of our neighbors. Education forms, informs, and transforms us in our life-long journey of faith.
"Christianity--The Basics" Wednesdays beginning February 24, 2010
The Rev. Dr. Joe Pagano, Rector of Emmanuel Church, and The Rev. Dr. Amy Richter, Rector of St. Anne's in Annapolis, will co-lead the class, which will meet on Wednesdays: 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Diocesan Center and 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Anne's Parish House, Annapolis.

Book Group
The second Tuesday of each month at 7pm is the gathering of the Emmanuel Book Group. All are welcome to attend and participate. Parishioners gather in one another’s homes for refreshments and discussion of the group’s current selection. Books are chosen on bi-monthly basis and cover all genres of literature. Selections and place are listed in the weekly bulletin or by calling the church office and speaking with Diane.

Terry Eagleton on the God DebateTerry Eagleton's book Reason, Faith, and Revolution: Reflections on the God Debate, offers a devasting critique of recent works by Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens (whom he refers to collectively as "Ditchkins"). It is brilliant, provocative, and very, very funny. It is based on his 2008 Terry Lectures delivered at Yale. You can view these lectures on the link below.
